Accessories & cylinders (pistons)

for automatic greenhouse vent openers

you can buy replacements and extra accessories for standard greenhouse vent openers from Orbesen Teknik : springs, fittings, cylinders with a different wax-type (for Orchid growing or others) and alike.

The standard greenhouse vent opener itself can be bought at almost any garden centre, DIY shop or internet shop selling garden equipment. The only opener not available at these outlets is our extra heavy duty opener called GIGAVENT, which can however be bought here at our shop.

 

are known both under our product names (Ventomax, Sesam Spiro, Optivent, Sesam Liberty, Univent..) as well as under a variety of distributors names.

Common for all openers is the hydraulic cylinder, which opens and closes the arms of the opener. That cylinder is universal (identical) for all the openers, and can be identified by our name + year of manufacturing stamped into the black part of the cylinder tube. Once again our GIGAVENT is different from the standard openers. It has a much stronger hydraulic cylinder, which is also quite different in size and design : you can find further details at www.greenhouse-vent-opener.com

hydraulic damper

In case of strong winds the damper + the powerful spring will reduce the flutter of the window / flap / skylight if being open, which therefore minimizes any possible damage usually caused by such fluttering. 

GIGAVENT can be assembled in up to 24 different ways. It is designed – in spite of its size – to take up as little space as at all possible inside. This makes it useable on any make / kind of window etc.

Gigavent-cylinder has 12 external fins at the FULL length of the black tube for improved / fast reaction to change of temperature in the surrounding air.
